In the last 30+ years, Kent has worked with 100’s of organizations to improve their performance, results, and engagement. He has spent over 2,500 days with clients doing strategy & execution work, and executive and leadership development. 

He is the CEO and co-founder of Blaze Performance with partners and licensees in North America, India, and throughout Asia. He is also a co-founder and partner in the performance improvement company Get CLEAR Living.

His clients (past and present) include Mercedes Benz, Wal-Mart, FedEx, ServiceMaster, Nissan, Honda, ABF Freight, Covenant, Scripps, EdFinancial, The State of Tennessee, and Jewelry Television to name just a few.  

Denny Knipp

Denny has been working in Computer Science & Information Technology for over 25 years.  He began his career as a programmer for an aftermarket automotive firm where he quickly took over as Director of Information Technology.  When this company was purchased, he started a consulting and custom software development firm. This company has been providing custom software development services for companies for over 20 years.

Denny is passionate about leading people and helping everyone maximize their potential. With this background, Denny has been a tactile and agile CTO at Blaze building its software to ensure the greatest user experience possible.

Rick Timlick

Scot Thomasson

VP of Business Development | Blaze Performance

Scot Thomasson is a highly decorated former federal agent with more than 25 years of national and international Federal Law enforcement experience. He began his career in 1987 in the U. S. State Department where he spent five and a half years serving at various overseas posts and completed it in 2012 as the Chief of Firearms Operations for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, ATF. Scot’s assignments ranged from, personal protection of foreign dignitaries and US officials domestically and overseas to conducting long-term undercover investigations for ATF and DEA. Scot investigated, supervised, and directed Federal robbery, bombing, narcotics, firearms trafficking, and homicide investigations. During Scot’s ATF career, he served as the Chief of International Operations, Chief, Public Affairs and Chief Firearms Operations Division.  He investigated and infiltrated large criminal organizations as both the case agent and the undercover agent, planned, organized, and led multiple large-scale arrests and manhunts of multiple suspects. Additionally, Scot developed the DOJ national violent crime initiative for the reduction in homicides and firearms-related violence and worked in some of the country’s most violent cities, in partnership with local law enforcement, successfully combatting violent crime.

During the course of his career, Scot was therecipient of the, ATF Medal of Valor, Federal Law Enforcement OfficersAssociation Annual Group Achievement Award, ATF Distinguished Service Medal, USAttorney General’s Award for Outstanding Contributions to CommunityPartnerships for Public Safety and15 Special Acts Awards.

Alexander Noren

Director & Co-Founder | Blaze Performance

Alexander began his leadership career at the United States Military Academy at West Point. After his first two years, he transferred to Brigham Young University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Alexander went on to complete a master’s degree at Harvard University in information systems management.

Alexander began his professional career working at Continuing Education as a systems analyst in their marketing department where he focused on increasing organizational efficiencies. He then transitioned to working at PwC as a tax CPA. He enjoys working with nonprofits helping them achieve greater and more efficient organizational success. He has been running employee engagement and culture start ups since 2018.

David Williams

Director & Co-Founder | Blaze Performance

David is an achievement-oriented professional with extensive experience in organizational development, operations management, and human resources. He has served as a Business Owner, Executive and Leader at some of the world’s best organizations. He received his undergraduate and Masters degrees in Human Resources Management from Liberty University and also has a Masters in Philosophy.

Brent Chesney

Brent Chesney has been actively engaged as a practitioner and consultant in the fields of management, talent development, and organizational performance for over 3 decades. He has worked in and with 119 different organizations, both for profit and not-for-profit, from ten different industry sectors to enable them to achieve higher levels of productivity, employee engagement and economic sustainability.

He understands the role managers have and their impact on people and performance capability. Brent has held positions as a supervisor, a department manager, an internal consultant, a regional office manager, a corporate training manager, a national director, and a global manager of learning & development for a tier 1 international automotive supplier. By serving in many roles and organizations, Brent has become  especially adept at understanding both the human and the systemic sides of business, and in helping organizational leaders align both for greater effectiveness.
